Climate Action knocks down the installation of a 50 megawatt wind farm in Tivissa

The Department of Climate Action has denied prior administrative and construction authorization to the Tivissa II wind power plant project, in the municipality of Tivissa, in the Ribera d'Ebre (Tarragona).

The project, with 50 megawatts of power and promoted by the Madrid-based company Desarrollos Eólicos Tivissa II, had received a negative environmental impact evaluation. In the process, 55 allegations were presented by entities and individuals.

The Generalitat asked for information from several affected bodies: the Vandellòs City Council, L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, the Baix Camp Council or various departments of the Generalitat that reported unfavorably or with conditions. The City Council of Tivissa and the Diputación de Tarragona did it in favor.
