City celebrates its treble in style: From Istanbul to Manchester via Ibiza

The first Champions League in the history of Manchester City enjoyed a historic celebration that lasted two days. It began at the Atatürk stadium in Istanbul and ended on Monday's rúa that the club organizes through the streets of Manchester. Between Istanbul and the British city there was also a getaway to Ibiza for several players with Jack Grealish as impromptu captain leading the songs and the party.

The group, which watched the sunrise at the Istanbul concentration hotel where it was staying, returned to Manchester on Sunday at noon. But half the staff took a private flight to go to Ibiza. The photographers captured images of Håland, Grealish, Walker, Aké, Stones and Foden, among others who stayed in a hotel and left at midnight to enjoy the Ibizan nightlife.

Early in the morning they returned to Manchester to go to the rúa through the city that was set at 6:30 p.m. and that was delayed an hour due to a thunderstorm. Despite the weather, everyone enjoyed the tour acclaimed by their fans.

City completed a historic treble in the 2022-23 season, lifting the Premier League, the FA Cup and the first Champions League.

Guardiola's team had to fight hard to overcome Arsenal in the Premier League, eventually winning a third successive title, their fifth in six seasons, with a total of 89 points after a narrow win over Inter Milan.

Erling Håland celebrated his first Champions League with his teammates. He has become the top scorer in the 2022-23 Champions League with twelve goals, an award in which he takes over from the already ex-Madridista Karim Benzema, who has just signed for Saudi Al Ittihad.

Håland reaches this achievement for the second time in his career after he achieved it in the 2020/21 campaign, when he defended the German Borussia Dortmund shirt. He then he scored ten points.

The Norwegian has surpassed Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Liverpool winger, by four goals, and Frenchman Kilyan Mbappe (PSG) and Brazilian Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid) by five.
