Celebrate with sustainable cuisine and lots of beer

This weekend is full of plans. In addition to the Mercè festivities, Barcelona will host two festivals where eating and drinking will be the protagonists. From September 22 to 24, Ciutadella Park will be the setting for the 3rd edition of Terra i Gust, a gastronomic festival that invites you to enjoy food in a way that is respectful of people and the planet.

In this festival of sustainable food, 14 restaurants in the city will serve dishes made with organic and local products, which will cost 5 euros. In the beverage space, attendees will also be able to choose from several references of craft beer, natural wines and kombuchas.

The workshops, culinary demonstrations, prizes, tastings and other free activities have just completed this meeting with a social background - the staff is hired through the Mescladís Foundation, which helps people at risk of social exclusion - and which will be enlivened with music live.

Also this weekend, the San Miguel Biergarten returns, a party around beer where visitors will be able to try nearly 20 varieties of Mahou San Miguel, and which will last until October 1.

The event will take place at the Poble Espanyol, in Montjuïc, and will also feature a gastronomic offer starring German specialties such as frankfurters, bratwursts, cervelas, pretzels or kartoffel salads, as well as vegan options (the dishes will cost 5 euros). There will also be no shortage of workshops, tastings, live music and DJ sessions.

Entry is free for residents of Catalonia, with limited capacity that will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
