The 60-year-old woman who lost her life in the accident was a native of El Puerto de Santa María. She had just retired a month ago, according to Diario de Cádiz, after a life dedicated to education. She had worked for 17 years at an institute in this Cadiz town, at the IES José de Lara, and now plans to enjoy her leisure and relaxation time. Her classmates still cannot digest this sad news.

The 17-year-old boy from Chiclana de la Frontera was also hit by the bus. In the municipality's town hall the flags are at half-mast as a sign of mourning and as a gesture of support in the pain of the victim's relatives.
