British ship full of fertilizers sinks in Red Sea after Houthi attack

The Rubymar ship, loaded with thousands of tons of fertilizer, has sunk in the Red Sea after suffering a missile attack in mid-February by Yemen's Houthi rebels, the internationally recognized Yemeni government reported this Saturday.

"after the ship was abandoned and semi-sunken for almost two weeks.

Likewise, the insurgents have also launched several volleys of missiles against other cargo ships operated by the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as warships of these two countries, against whom the Houthis declared an "open war" after they began a campaign of bombings in Yemen in mid-January.

At the same time, the rebels have also launched ballistic missiles and drones against the port town of Eilat, in southern Israel, although the vast majority of these attacks have been intercepted and have failed to reach Israeli territory.

The Houthis defend that these actions are aimed at supporting the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, while the internationally recognized Government of Yemen denounces that they only serve their propaganda and recruitment interests.
