British actor and presenter Russell Brand faces accusations of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse that he allegedly committed against four women, according to a joint investigation by different UK media.
The Times, The Sunday Times and Channel 4 have brought to light the group complaint of the women, who claim to have suffered sexual assault by Brand between 2006 and 2013.
Precisely this period coincides with the peak of his fame as a presenter in the United Kingdom and an actor in Hollywood, where Brand has had different roles such as in 'Death on the Nile'.
On the other hand, other women have claimed that they suffered "controlling, abusive and predatory" behavior from the popular British actor and presenter.
Brand responded to the accusations in a video posted today on his social networks before the accusations came to light, he denied having made the "serious accusations."
The actor has received support from many of his followers, who claim that these accusations are part of a smear campaign against Brand.
