Belarra proposes Pablo Fernández as the new organizational secretary of Podemos

Still shocked after the unexpected departure of Lilith Verstrynge announced on Friday afternoon, the general secretary of Podemos, Ione Belarra, proposed this Monday that the party's co-spokesperson and leader in Castilla y León, Pablo Fernández, be the new secretary of organization replacing the former Madrid leader

The proposal, which is being voted on by the State Citizen Council of the purple party, would mean that Fernández, current attorney in the Cortes of Castilla y León and integrated into the mixed group, would be the new number three of Podemos behind Belarra and Irene Montero.

Fernández thanked this Monday for the "trust" placed by Belarra and assured that he would face the challenge with "a lot of desire, enthusiasm and enthusiasm." The Castilian-Leon attorney has indicated that his task is to "continue the task of strengthening Podemos" to try to ensure that the purple formation "takes strong root in the territories and thus establishes its autonomous structure."

Verstrynge resigned on Friday from all her positions, including the deputy record that she held after the general elections of 23-J, which reduces Podemos's deputies in Congress from five to four. That seat, in fact, is held by Sumar. When the electoral list is run through Barcelona, which is the constituency in which the former leader of Podemos joined, the next name is that of Candela López, leader of En Comú Podem.
