The City Council of El Perelló (Valencia) has prohibited bathing this Wednesday on the town's beach after the environmental water quality service has warned of microbiological contamination in the sea.
The measure "will be short-lived" and new water samples have been taken to update the state of the beach as soon as the results are available, as explained by the council in a statement.
The towers for the rescue and first aid service have raised the red flag and bathing is prohibited.
