Barça remains unstoppable and crushes Tenerife

After qualifying for the final of the Queen's Cup, Barça once again thought about the League before focusing on the Champions League and next Sunday's classic. The Blaugrana crushed a powerless Tenerife (7-0) in the return of Alexia Putellas and Fridolina Rolfö to the starting lineup. Both scored on their return and the captain also scored an assist in one of her best games in a long time.

Alexia debuted as a starter for the first time since November last year. On Thursday, in the Cup, he already played his first minutes in the Johan and a week ago, against Real Sociedad, he returned to a match with FC Barcelona four months later, entering in the 67th minute and scoring a goal in the final stretch of the game. Today, against Tenerife, he enjoyed his first start and also scored. The Blaugrana captain played her best game since the Crusaders broke up in the summer of 2022. She returned hungrier than ever and against the Canarian team she displayed all her offensive potential, accumulating chances and constantly participating in her team's attacking plays.

It was also the first entry from the starting lineup for Fridolina Rolfö, who has recently returned to the team after missing the entire season following meniscus surgery in September. The Swede also returned with a goal. His was the 1-0 that opened the win by heading a ball from a corner.

Barça came out like a real hurricane against Johan Cruyff against a Tenerife that did not know how to stop the culé siege. One by one, the goals fell without the Tenerife team being able to do anything to prevent it. After Rolfö's, Claudia Pina's would arrive, before the first quarter of an hour of the game and after an assist from Alexia Putellas.

The one from Montcada would sign a double shortly after, with a shot tight into the top corner. Before, Caroline Graham Hansen, assistant in the 1-0, also scored the third culé goal. Barça was enjoying themselves and did not leave the Tenerife area. To round off the win, Alexia made it 5-0 assisted again by the Norwegian, the top assist in the F League, and a header from Marta Torrejón just before half-time completed a resounding 6-0 for the Blaugrana.

With the match completely decided, the second half was totally testimonial. Giráldez took the opportunity to spend minutes and at the hour mark removed both Alexia and Rolfö, the day of his first start after injury.

The changes returned Barça's goal-scoring hunger. Torrejón was on the verge of a double, but Echezarreta was saved by Providence. He couldn't do anything to avoid the seventh, coming from a corner, on Monday's own goal, who had also just entered the field of play. He tried several times, but finally the match would end 7-0.
