During his time in the NBA he only had a certain weight in the rotation in the first three years with the Nuggets, especially the third year with an average of 19.4 minutes and 25 games as a starter. However, his weight in the Spanish team has not stopped growing since its debut in 2017. Hernangómez, who is called up for the World Cup that begins on August 25, participated in the group that was world champion in 2019 and was key in the conquest against the forecast of the Eurobasket last summer.
