The City Council of Badalona (Barcelonès North), with the collaboration of the Chamber of Barcelonès Nord, the Badalona Commerce Federation, Badalona Restauració and the Municipal Markets of the city, launch the discount voucher initiative "In Badalona we Good ones!” a game of words that allows you to participate in a new initiative to boost local trade, contribute to the promotion of local businesses and help citizens cope with price inflation in their shopping basket.
The campaign was presented today on Paseo de la Salut by the mayor of Badalona, Rubén Guijarro; the third deputy mayor and councilor for the Area of Social Protection for People and Business Promotion, David Torrents; the president of the territorial Chamber of Barcelonès Nord, Pere Alemany; and the president of the Association of merchants of La Salut, Nuria Rodríguez.
With the slogan "A Badalona som Bons!", the promotional campaign offers a maximum of three discount vouchers for an amount of 10 euros each (paying six euros for each voucher), to all people registered in the city and who are over 18 years of age, to be used for purchases in businesses adhering to the initiative. Specifically, the badalona.bonoconsumo.es platform will be activated during the campaign so that discount vouchers can be purchased instantly and consult the list of participating establishments. The initiative, which will be launched next Monday, November 28 and will last until Saturday, December 24, will make it possible to have up to 30 euros in vouchers, only paying 18 euros. In this way, the campaign guarantees a 40% discount on purchases made in establishments adhering to the initiative.
This action will inject a total of 377,500 euros into the Badalona trade, of which the Badalona City Council subsidizes up to 40%, that is: 151,000 euros. In total, it is intended to make 37,750 vouchers available to Badalones and Badalones to be used in the adhered trade, thus contributing to their knowledge and revitalization.
The mayor, Rubén Guijarro, stressed that the initiative "is a first test for subsequent revitalization campaigns" of local commerce, which in the opinion of the Councilor for Commerce, David Torrents, requires "a boost for its recovery" in need of reversing its situation. The president of the Badalona Chamber of Commerce, Pere Alemany, stressed that the initiative could develop a new commercial thrust and the spokesperson for the Association of Merchants of La Salut, Núria Rodríguez, praised any project that serves to "promote neighborhood and proximity".
To bring the initiative closer to the population as a whole, a face-to-face service point will be set up where the vouchers can be purchased, at the Badalona Tourist Office, located at calle Francesc Layret, 78-82. This point will work from November 28 to December 5, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
