Isabel Díaz Ayuso has cooled this Monday the possibility that the deputy mayor of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, from Ciudadanos, changes the shirt to be part of the ranks of the PP of Madrid for the next regional and municipal elections in May, while the national leadership of the party, as well as some barons, do welcome his incorporation into the formation led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

"The best of Ciudadanos has already come with me," Ayuso argued upon arrival at the Executive Committee of the PP, when asked about the possible arrival of the orange leader, who in recent hours has not ruled out, as she did up to now, that his name appears on a ballot with the popular initials.

Although, in view of the open pools, the president of the Community of Madrid and the Madrid PP has circumscribed a possible negotiation with Villacís to the national level. "If now there are conversations at the national level, I have nothing to say," she told reporters.

Something similar has been pointed out by the mayor of Madrid and PP candidate for mayor, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has said for his part that he knows "nothing" about the "possible intentions" of his government partner and has thanked the management national party of the PP "understand" that the elaboration of its list for the elections of May 28 falls on the PP of Madrid and on itself.

Meanwhile, sources from Genoa indicate that the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has affirmed behind closed doors before his Executive Committee that the national leadership will not impose names on the territories on their local and regional lists, and their task will be the lists at Congress and the Senate.
