The Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has thanked the expressions of affection that she has received these days after learning that she had suffered an abortion. She and she has done so by highlighting that her messages have come from leaders of all political parties.
"Thank you to all the people who have addressed me through different channels these days to convey their love to me. And to the politicians from my party and from PSOE, Cs, Vox, UPyD, Más Madrid, PNV… I cannot be more grateful. Life is a gift that begins every day," Ayuso wrote on his Twitter account.
Ayuso resumed his activity yesterday Thursday and attended the Plenary Assembly of Madrid, where he received the support of deputies from his group and from the opposition. Although she acknowledged that it would still take a few days to fully recover physically and mentally, the Madrid president confirmed her intention to maintain her agenda for the remainder of the campaign.
The regional president had already reduced her actions after being sworn in on June 22, so she only plans a trip to Valencia, to share a rally with the new Valencian president, Carlos Mazón, and four other events without leaving Madrid.
