Artistic frozen puddles in the Riera de Sorreigs

In the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can observe in detail the marks of today's frost in the puddles that remain of the Riera de Sorreigs river (Sant Bartomeu del Grau, Osona region).

This stream originates and flows largely through the Lluçanès region. It originates in Sant Agustí de Lluçanès, passes through Sant Boi de Lluçanès, Sobremunt, Santa Cecília de Voltregà, that's as far as the Lluçanès municipalities go, because in the final section it flows through Gurb, in the Osona region, and flows into the Ter river, between Manlleu and the sanctuary of La Gleva.

Perhaps the most well-known area is the salto y poza del Gorg Negre, an area full of legends. I captured these images at an entrance gate to Sorreigs from Sant Bartomeu del Grau.

The shame is that a good part of the Riera is now without water, due to the persistent drought in Catalonia, and only a few puddles remain, frozen in this case.

The Riera de Sorreigs presents natural systems of remarkable interest, above all because of the particularities of its fluvial ecosystems.
