The National Police have arrested a woman who allegedly planned to murder her husband in Lucena (Córdoba), for which she considered using rat poison.

The Provincial Police Station of Córdoba has reported today, Wednesday, that the arrest occurred after the husband accidentally listened to some audio recordings of his wife's conversation when he was fixing a mobile phone that belonged to a relative and that he had lent him while he was buying a new one.

In the conversation, the wife, according to the Police, stated that she wanted to get a divorce before which a relative indicated the possibility of using rat poison in tea or coffee as a solution to her situation.

Given this, the husband requested police help as he feared for his life and physical integrity.

Police sources have specified to EFE that during the course of the investigation it was concluded that there were indications to charge only the woman, who was turned over to the Court of First Instance and Instruction of Lucena for a crime of preparatory acts of murder.

The couple, of foreign origin, had coexistence problems since their arrival in Spain.

In addition, on one of the occasions when the complainant returned from abroad, it was found that the apartment in which they lived had been completely dismantled, and that his wife had sold all the furniture without informing him, keeping all the money and hiding it. to her husband.
