The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 29-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of the death of another 28-year-old in Cornellà de Llobregat, early this Tuesday. The body was located in the trunk of the car, which had been set on fire.
Shortly before five in the morning, the Catalan police were alerted to a fire in a car parked in the Passage Almachar in the Fontsanta Fatjó neighborhood of the Barcelona municipality. Inside the vehicle, partially engulfed in flames, the body of a man was found.
The South Metropolitan Police Region Homicide Squad has taken over the investigation. At the moment, it has only emerged that the victim and detainee knew each other and that the event is not linked to a drug issue.
