Ansu Fati returns to a call for the Spanish team

Little by little Ansu Fati is conquering everything that injuries have taken from him in the last two years. The Barça striker, a phenomenon before his torn meniscus and his subsequent muscle problems, returned to the Spanish squad this Monday to play four Nations League games in June.

The African striker, who returned to wearing shorts with the Barça team at the beginning of May, has been one of the 25 chosen by the Spanish coach, Luis Enrique, for the matches against Portugal (June 2), the Czech Republic (June 5), Switzerland (June 9) and again against the Czech team (June 12).

Along with Ansu Fati, who has been adding minutes in recent games with Barça, the other great novelty on the list is Marco Asensio. The Real Madrid player has been relegated to substitution in many games in this last stretch of the season in favor of other players such as the Brazilian Rodrygo.

In addition to the Mallorcan, the other white player called up is Dani Carvajal, while Barça, with six, is the club that contributes the most players to the team at this end of the season (Eric Garcia, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Gavi, Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres).

Also returning to the list are Iñigo Martínez, Thiago Alcántara, whose physical problems separated them from the previous call, and Sergio Busquets. In the case of the Liverpool player, his presence is in question after retiring injured from the match against Wolverhampton this weekend.

Spain will begin a new journey in the Nations League after losing the final of the previous edition against France due to a controversial goal by Kylian Mbappé (1-2). However, the list is a preview of the core of players who aspire to play the World Cup from next November. Luis Enrique, in favor of making many changes in each call to see different players, has opted for few changes this time.

Goalkeepers: Unai Simón (Athletic), Robert Sánchez (Brighton), David Raya (Brentford)

Defenders: Iñigo Martínez (Athletic), Pau Torres (Villarreal), Carvajal (Real Madrid), Jordi Alba, Eric Garcia (Barcelona), Laporte (Manchester City), Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso (Chelsea).

Midfielders: Busquets and Gavi (Barcelona), Koke and Marcos Llorente (Atlético), Rodri (Manchester City), Thiago (Liverpool) and Carlos Soler (Valencia).

Forwards: Morata (Juventus), Marco Asensio (Real Madrid), Raúl de Tomás (Espanyol), Dani Olmo (RB Leipzig), Sarabia (Sporting de Portugal), Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres (Barcelona).
