Jorge Javier Vázquez has been away from television since May 17. A temporary drop caused by a health problem of which hardly any detail has been revealed, but the latest information suggests that it could be due to some type of worsening in his mental health.
The popular presenter could not say goodbye to his faithful audience or his colleagues at the end of Sálvame on June 23 and, unfortunately, he will not do so this Friday, July 14 in the last Deluxe program, as he continues to not feel quite well as to face this emotional challenge.
To replace the beloved 'owner of the farmhouse' will be María Patiño and Terelu Campos, who will interview the brand new last guest: Mercedes Milá, who will talk about everything and everyone openly, as she has accustomed us all. She will do it in an unprecedented way, because while the program is being developed, parts of the studio will be withdrawn, being her way of saying goodbye to the audience.
Some absences that only continue to increase concern for the health of Badalona, who in recent years became the flagship presenter of Mediaset. There are many questions surrounding his withdrawal, and although those who have seen him try to call for calm, viewers continue to be concerned.
"He is making his way. It's okay, you can talk to him and he gives you explanations of things, but I think he needs his process," explained David Valldeperas, former director of the program. "A lot has happened in the last few months," he added, noting that the end of the show was "a blow to everyone and to him."
Not only about his mental health, because although the scare he had in 2019 after specialists located a spot in his brain after an MRI that turned out to be an almost fatal aneurysm and they asked him to slow down, it is clear that the presenter does things his way.
To make matters worse, the last year has not been particularly kind to the presenter, who in August 2022 had to be admitted to a hospital in Peru due to altitude sickness. Last February, he was rushed to the hospital with a heart problem and, in May, he ended up back in the hospital with a serious ear infection.
Some ailments that have left various sequelae over time, to which is added the depression that has been dragging -and treating- since 2019. In addition, in June, Jorge Javier Vázquez once again required medical attention due to a gallbladder problem , so he underwent surgery to solve this problem.
Some health problems that seem to have taken their toll on the presenter over the months, but it is important to note that despite the difficulties, he has always been very positive. In the last month he has remained silent, but his friends and colleagues insist that he will pull through. For the moment, all that remains is to send him all the support and wish him a speedy recovery.
