CC.OO. has called for an indefinite daily strike starting Monday at the 112 center in the Barcelona Free Trade Zone, which manages emergency calls from Catalonia together with the center in Reus (Tarragona).
He justifies this by the "deficient management of the company Serveo, in subcontracting with the Generalitat of Catalonia, and on the verge of an imminent extension of the contract," reported this Saturday in a statement.
He criticizes several factors: "Job insecurity and constant staff turnover, unresolved harassment cases, serious deficiencies in the service structure that imply overload."
The union warns that this leaves the two centers that manage emergency calls in Catalonia on strike, "since the Reus center already started it in August," and remembers that 112 was already on strike for eight months, from August 2020 to March 2021.
CC.OO. He assures that the current strike is largely due to the failure to comply with some deadlines of the agreements as a result of that strike, "such as solving the lack of personnel during vacation periods," and adds that they continue to ask for improvements in structure and salaries.
He has also called a rally in front of the Department of the Interior at 12 noon on Monday.
