Alhos puts in motion an accelerator of emerging companies

Alhos Abogados y Economistas has entered the start-up acceleration sector after more than 30 years of experience in the world of advising and consulting traditional companies.

Josep Puigvert, general director of the business, comments that he has set up a subsidiary specializing in advisory programs for emerging companies that have just launched their product on the market. “So far, 10 Spanish start-ups from sectors such as health and food have already contracted our service. In addition to advising them, we also invest capital if we consider it appropriate for their growth needs”, says Puigvert together with Àlex Pérez, who is responsible for this business division.

In fact, Alhos has another subsidiary dedicated solely to investing in technology companies. Through this company, it has already invested a total of 1.2 million euros, spread over different companies (the capital per company ranges from 200,000 to 500,000 euros).

Looking ahead to next year, Alhos expects to have advised 25 start-ups and invested a total of 3 million euros. Puigvert entrusts the growth of the business to this innovative division but without abandoning its traditional activity. From its offices on Calle Tuset in Barcelona, and its delegations in Madrid and Salamanca, the company provides a wide range of consulting and legal audit services. Last year, the parent company invoiced 2.5 million euros, a figure that is expected to increase by 20% this year thanks to the new services and the recovery of activity after the pandemic. In addition, Alhos is studying opening offices in Andorra and expanding the team from 50 to 60 workers.
