The mayor of Badalona (North Barcelona), Xavier García Albiol, and the Minister of Social Rights, Carles Campuzano, met this afternoon at the Department's headquarters and agreed to continue working to reactivate the Badalona Sud Consortium and sign the corresponding agreement in the coming weeks. A reactivation that will allow us to face the transformation of the Sant Roc neighborhood.
With the will already expressed in the first meeting held during June of this year, throughout the meeting both parties have confirmed that the work carried out since then is progressing positively to achieve the objective of formalizing the definitive reactivation of the Consortium.
In this sense, the Integration and Transformation Plan of the Sant Roc neighborhood and its surroundings can also be implemented with social, labor, cultural, educational, health and security actions in favor of the population residing in the sector of action. Also actions in the housing stock and execution of social, cultural, educational, health and sports facilities as well as others aimed at its economic development.
