Adam Yates, Geraint Thomas and Dani Martínez will lead INEOS on the Tour

The Welshman Geraint Thomas, winner of the 2018 Tour, the Colombian Daniel Felipe Martínez and the British Adam Yates make up the trident of Ineos Grenadiers to get a podium in Paris.

They will be three tricks for the general within a team that completes Jonathan Castroviejo , Filippo Ganna , Tom Pidcock , Luke Rowe and Dylan van Baarle . Without a doubt, a solid team with top-level cyclists.

Two-time world time trial champion Ganna will make his Tour de France debut and is a clear candidate to wear yellow after Friday's first time trial in Copenhagen. Castroviejo, Pidcock, Luke Rowe and Paris-Roubaix winner Van Baarle will accompany the three leaders.

Team manager Sir Dave Brailsford commented on the difficulty of this edition, in which "anything can happen".

“The competition this year is tougher than ever and that's a great thing for the sport, the Tour and the fans. But we all know that anything can happen in cycling, especially during three weeks of hard racing in different terrain and weather conditions. We are eager to start competing,” said the manager.

Teams like Jumbo-Visma or UAE Team-Emirates will also attend the French round with very powerful formations.

Egan Bernal will experience this edition of the Tour from home, where he is still recovering from his accident a few months ago.
