A 20-year-old young man has been imprisoned as allegedly responsible for the death of an 11-year-old girl in an accident recorded in February in the Valencian town of Manises when he was driving drunk, at a rate three times higher than the permitted rate.

As reported by the Civil Guard in a statement, the events date back to the early morning of February 19, when there was a serious road accident in a construction area of ​​the N-220, near Manises, in which Two cars were involved.

Emergency services and personnel from the Valencia Traffic Subsector went to the scene, who treated the injured and transferred a minor under 11 years of age to La Fe Hospital in Valencia, where nothing could be done to save her life.

An exhaustive investigation for the reconstruction of the events began that night by a Reporting Team from the Valencia Traffic Subsector, which is still continuing until the completion of the corresponding technical report, where the images of existing video, speed calculation and study of all concurrent factors.

The result of the analysis of the blood alcohol tests of one of the drivers showed a rate more than three times higher than the allowed one. The vehicle whose driver caused the road accident was involved in another previous collision against some cars parked in Manises.

Faced with this situation, members of the Traffic Subsector of the Civil Guard of Valencia arrested the alleged perpetrator of the accident, aged 20, for the alleged commission of a crime of homicide due to serious negligence, injuries due to serious negligence, driving with manifest recklessness and doing so under the influence of alcoholic beverages. The competent judge of the Court of Quart de Poblet ordered his entry into prison this Tuesday.
