A woman on the run is arrested after being sentenced to 16 years for killing her roommate

Agents of the National Police have arrested a 41-year-old woman in the province of Valencia who was on the run from justice after being recently sentenced by the Provincial Court of Valencia to serve 16 years in prison for having murdered, along with her partner sentimental, to their roommate four years ago.

The crime occurred at the end of 2019 in a house in a municipality in the province of Valencia and two people were arrested as alleged perpetrators of the events. One of them went to prison and the other was released with charges and the Jury Court sentenced her to serve 16 years in prison for having been convicted of murder.

The agents learned that the woman, a Spanish national, apparently intended to leave the country along with her current partner of Moroccan origin, and to flee to France in the near future.

Therefore, a surveillance device was established in the vicinity of the home. The arrest, which took place around 11:45 a.m. on August 7, occurred when the woman left her home with a man. The detainee, with a police record, was brought before the courts for her entry into prison.
