A priest from a town in Malaga was arrested by the Civil Guard after he had broken the restraining order imposed on him for harassing a woman with whom he lived, according to what the victim herself reported at the time.

As confirmed to EFE by sources close to the investigation, this is Roberto José B., parish priest of the Malaga municipalities of Canillas de Aceituno, Sedella and Salares, who had been investigated for a crime of coercion against a woman.

Apparently, according to the same sources, the woman said that she lived with the priest and that due to their disagreements, she decided to go to Madrid. It was at that moment, when the priest harassed her with phone calls, messages and emails asking her to return to Malaga.

The woman reported the harassment at a Madrid National Police station, proceedings that were later expanded by the Vélez-Málaga Judicial Police.

The sources have explained that the woman also reported, this time in Malaga, that on one occasion when she was driving her vehicle on the A-7, the priest passed her at kilometer 978 and laughed at her.

Then he got in front of the woman's car, slowed down and she overtook him. But he accelerated again, got in front of her and gave her the high beams from less than two meters away. An attitude he maintained for a while.

He did it, according to sources, when he already had a restraining order for previous harassment. In fact, she was prohibited from coming within 300 meters of the victim's home or any other place she frequented.

It was in the first week of September when the Civil Guard arrested him for breaking that order.
