It was early this morning when the means to put out the fire were reinforced. According to the data published by Infoca on its social networks, two helicopters, 16 groups of forest firefighters, 3 BRICA (Reinforcement Brigades), 7 operations technicians, 2 environmental agents, a deputy director, 2 BIFF (Forest Fire Investigation Brigade), an extinction technician, 1 UMMT (Mobile Meteorology and Transmissions Unit) and 1 UMIF (Medical Unit) as well as 9 fire engines.

The fire that is concentrated in the Aljibe Alto area broke out around 2:00 a.m. this Friday, so the gusts of wind that are recorded in the area facilitate its spread.

Specifically, Aemet maintains an active yellow warning in the area due to west winds of up to 85 kilometers per hour. Rainfall is also expected until 6:00 p.m., according to the weather forecast.

Given the presence of the flames, which are visible from the capital of Almería, the Almería City Council has contacted Infoca and has offered the collaboration of the municipal media to stop the fire, as reported by the council itself through a note. on social network 'X'.

This is the second forest fire to be recorded in the province of Almería in less than 24 hours, since this Thursday another fire was extinguished in an area of ​​Sierra Cabrera, in the municipality of Turre (Almería), which affected about seven hectares of land according to first estimates.
