A Dénia fishing boat rescues the corpses of two men with their nets

A fishing boat from the port of Dénia (Alicante) has rescued the lifeless bodies of two men who could be drowned migrants after the shipwreck of a small boat or some other type of precarious vessel while working among the trawl nets, according to the first indications of the investigation pointed out by the Efe agency.

A Dénia fishing boat rescues the corpses of two men with their nets

A fishing boat from the port of Dénia (Alicante) has rescued the lifeless bodies of two men who could be drowned migrants after the shipwreck of a small boat or some other type of precarious vessel while working among the trawl nets, according to the first indications of the investigation pointed out by the Efe agency.

The corpses have been rescued on two different days. The first, on Thursday morning, and the second at noon this Friday, at a distance of between 5 and 7 miles from the coast.

The body found on Thursday around 11:45 a.m. corresponds to a 20-year-old man and the one on Friday, found at 11:30 a.m., belongs to another man between 35 and 40 years of age. The police await the results of the autopsies to determine the exact cause of death.

Between Thursday and this Friday, up to 33 immigrants have been rescued in Mediterranean waters, 14 off the coast of Carboneras (Almería), eight in inflatable toy boats in the waters of the Strait and 11 more arrived on Thursday in the waters of Formentera.
