A children's 7-a-side football match in Mallorca ended with a father with a fractured collarbone and a melee in which parents from both teams clashed. The unfortunate spectacle offered by the parents took place in a match between Paguera and Recreativo Arenal, as reported by 'Actualidadfutbolbase' on social networks.
Apparently, according to this media, the events took place when a parent from the local team confronted the parent of one of the visiting players. Both ended up shaking each other and the visiting team's supporter ended up falling, fracturing his collarbone as a result of the fall.
From there, the fans of the visiting team joined the confrontation, addressing the alleged aggressor, who was defended by the local fans. The result was a tumultuous fight that ended with the arrival of the Civil Guard.
The Balearic Islands Football Federation (FFIB), which had recently launched a campaign against violence in grassroots football, will now decide how to sanction the clubs involved.
