The Civil Guard of Asturias has reported the overturning of a bus on the road up to the Lakes of Covadonga, in which 49 people were traveling, most of them children. As confirmed to Europa Press by La Benemérita, there have been no deaths; however, there are injuries of varying degrees, pending assessment by the medical teams deployed to the area.
The event took place at 11:55 a.m. The bus was making the journey up to the Lakes of Covadonga and for unknown reasons it has left the road and has overturned. According to testimony from witnesses, it has turned around twice and is leaning on one side.
Patrols from the citizen security service, Cangas Onis Mountain Service, UHEL Asturias, Judicial Police, Traffic Group patrols, firefighters from the Cangas de Onís and Piloña parks, the rescue team aboard the medicalized helicopter and medical services.
