A breakdown forces to cut the trains between Les Tres Torres and Sarrià

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya has informed this morning that a failure of facilities has forced the interruption of train circulation between the Les Tres Torres and Sarrià stations. As an alternative, the company offers special buses that cover the same route as well as TMB line 68.

The cause was a derailment of a works train this morning. According to reports, the Medical Emergency System has transferred a man to the hospital for minor injuries caused by the accident. It is expected that the affectation will last all day today and that it will not be until Saturday when circulation between the two stations is reactivated.

FGC has also reported that the Barcelona-Vallès Line runs a train service every ten minutes between Plaza Catalunya and Les Tres Torres. On the other hand, they inform that the S1 Terrassa and S2 Sabadell lines work from and to Sarrià with their usual schedule. Line L7 Av. Tibidabo operates with a frequency of one train every 15 minutes between Gràcia and Av. Tibidabo.

Many users have sent messages on social networks complaining about the bus service, considering it "horrible and insufficient". The section of the Via Augusta that connects both stations has become a flood of people throughout the morning who choose to do the tour on foot.

Some other users have thought that the improvement works that begin tomorrow in sections of the Barcelona-Vallès and Llobregat-Anoia lines had been brought forward. However, the reason has nothing to do with it and the works will begin tomorrow as planned, according to the company.
