The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating the appearance of a body in the River Ter, as it passes through the city of Girona. The body would belong to a man between 40 and 50 years old, according to the first indications.
The alert was given by a person who was walking in the area around a quarter to four this afternoon in the stretch of river that runs through the Pedret neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city. The identity of the victim, who appeared floating and face down, is unknown at this time.
The Mossos d'Esquadra are at the scene of the incident waiting for the judicial delegation to arrive. There are also members of the Firefighters, the Municipal Police and the Servei d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) at the scene. The police have all hypotheses open.
