A 61-year-old man died this Monday in an accident that occurred on an agricultural farm located on the Portell de Arbeca road, in the region of Les Garrigues (Lleida).
For reasons that are being investigated, the victim would have been fatally hit by a trailer pulled by a tractor. Everything indicates that the trailer, which was loaded with a tank, would have given way due to an irregularity in the terrain.
Several crews from the Mossos d'Esquadra, the SEM and three crews from the Generalitat Fire Department have traveled to the scene of the accident.
The Mossos have brought the facts to the attention of the investigating court on duty in Lleida and the Department of Business and Labor, in accordance with the usual procedures in workplace accidents with fatalities.
