5,000 euros subsidy to Castilian and Leonese who return to their community to work

The Minister of the Presidency, Luis Miguel González Gago, signed a collaboration agreement this Monday with the CEOE of Castilla y León, the Council of Official Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Services, and the International Confederation of Regional Houses to support and promote the return of Castilian and Leonese abroad or in other communities through employment or self-employment, for which aid of 5,000 euros is allocated.

The Board will subsidize with that amount to companies that hire citizens from Castilla y León as employees, for a minimum duration of one year, and, in the same way, 5,000 euros will be paid to each citizen abroad who wants to return to take charge, as a self-employed person, of a business that is transferred, in order to take charge of the expenses for the transmission operation, and commit to continuing the activity during that period of one year.

Gago has stressed that "this instrument aims to facilitate the return with employment for Castilians and Leonese who reside abroad or in other communities through their labor integration in this land." The agreement provides for a total subsidy of 300,000 euros to be distributed between each of the three organizations: 140,000 for the CEOE Castilla y León, 140,000 for the Council of Chambers of Commerce of Castilla y León, and 20,000 for the International Confederation of Regional Houses.

"As we know, the majority of people in our community who live abroad recognize that, despite being satisfied with life there, because of the opportunity it has given them, their desire is to return and to do so they are looking for a job opportunity that allows them to establish themselves," said Gago.

According to Gago, this initiative has aroused the interest and commitment of companies in the Community, which see an opportunity to add to their staff professionals who, "trained in our universities or Vocational Training centers, have acquired national or international professional experience." , languages ​​or a specific and specific qualification in certain sectors, which they have obtained as a result of their stay abroad".

"With the signing of this agreement we continue to comply with the mandate provided for in our Statute of Autonomy, which indicates the duty of public powers to promote the necessary measures to guarantee the right of Castilians and Leonese to live and work on their land, and to At the same time, we materialize the political commitment of the Board to protect our people with their return and the promotion of work activity in our Community," he said.

The program is articulated through different actions that the aforementioned entities undertake to carry out, which are also in charge of disseminating it and will provide this information and advisory service for those who are interested in the initiative. Gago pointed out that "this first agreement must also serve to determine the level of demand and to be able to adapt the actions we carry out in the future."

Finally, these entities will collaborate in the management of the payment of the aid provided for in the agreement and the counselor has stressed that this aid is "compatible" with others already existing in the Ministry of the Presidency in matters of return linked to employment.

Also participating in the event were Santiago Aparicio, CEOE of Castilla y León, the president of the Superior Council of Chambers, Antonio Méndez Pozo, and the president of the Regional Council of Regional Houses of Castilla y León, Fernando Nicolás, who thanked this initiative. that connects "supply and demand" and will allow, with public-private collaboration, the return of workers in jobs that "in some cases do not find candidates or do not have generational change," according to Aparicio.
