In our daily lives and in our organizations we find that talent management comes upon us in a difficult and complicated way, and we excuse ourselves in the banal, "... with these wickers it is materially impossible to finish this basket... "
We renounce a hypothetical result under the self-convince that our problem lies in not having the right tools, and we detract from our talent by locking ourselves in our state of comfort, at which point 3 basic principles of nature are revealed:
a. “The principle of action – reaction”
In nature, any action in one direction suffers a reaction in the opposite direction, a circumstance by which the action of man and his influence in the acceleration of climatic processes receives the response of nature in the opposite direction through the increase in climatic risks. .
Talent is occupying the space that we do not want to occupy for convenience, since the easy thing is to wait to survive the reaction, and the difficult thing is to occupy it by analyzing, defining and breaking down the causes that generate the action, since the reaction is generated automatically nature.
b. "Energy is neither created nor destroyed, it is only transformed"
Our degree of tolerance for uncertainty generates a point at which our consciousness alerts our brain to what may happen, however, in everyday life we take refuge in stability and comfort, we do not like someone trying to convince that one plus one is not two, because within us we apply this law of physics, for this reason we believe and are sure that what we enjoy and make up our vital environment, will continue to be there the next day.
Talent management allows us to achieve a balance between the emotions that make us alert to risk situations and the emotions that allow us to believe that we have everything under control.
c. Chaos theory
Life and its cycle respond with certainty exclusively to a beginning and an end, but in its daily evolution the unexpected and the uncontrollable are always present, the talent is managing the capacity to respond and resilience in the face of this situation.
Leading and managing talent means being prepared to face risks such as the climate emergency with commitment, transparency and rigor, abandoning the comfort of thinking that others will finally solve this existential problem.
