The new WhatsApp function that allows you to send videos easier and faster

WhatsApp has just launched a novelty: instant video messages. The Meta-owned platform informed, through a statement published on its official blog on July 27, that users will be able to send clips of up to 60 seconds.

This novelty is in line with voice messages, since they can be sent in real time and directly from the chat, without having to leave the application at any time. "We believe that it will be a fun way to share moments with all the emotion that the videos generate," they said in the letter.

To be able to send a voice note, you must long press the microphone icon that appears on the right side of the text box. To be able to send a video clip, all you have to do is touch the button so that it changes mode and the video camera icon appears.

As the CEO of Meta himself, Mark Zuckerberg, has illustrated in a video posted on his Facebook account, once the video icon is available, you have to press the button while the clip is being recorded. As with voice notes, you can also swipe up to lock and record hands-free video.
