The new function that WhatsApp has copied from Telegram

WhatsApp is increasingly expanding its options with its usual strategy: copying the most useful and popular features of Telegram. On this occasion, WhatsApp has added the possibility of pinning messages within a conversation so that they remain highlighted and can be easily seen in any chat, a function that is especially useful for the new communities of the Meta messaging app.

One of the most notable facets of this new utility will be setting dates and activities that have been agreed upon as a group so that everyone keeps them in mind with the message highlighted above all the others, just below the name of the conversation.

There are options for the message to be set for 24 hours, 7 days or an entire month, depending on which option you choose, and always based on a message already written in the chat.

To do so, you will simply have to select the message you want to highlight, open the top pop-up menu and select 'Pin', from where a window will open to select the duration of this pinned message.

Group administrators will be the ones who will decide which messages to post, although they can also give this power to all members of the conversation or reserve it for themselves.
