Musk lashes out at Tesla Cybertruck designers and demands 'Lego-like' panels

Four years ago Elon Musk promised to bring his Tesla Cybertruck to market. The businessman has recently scolded his employees for their lack of precision and low quality. "Every part of this vehicle must be designed and built with a precision of less than 10 microns," Musk told employees in an internal email. And he adds: "If Legos and soda cans, which are very low cost, can do it, so can we."

The email came after Musk tweeted images of himself driving the latest version of said vehicle. The inconsistencies in the gaps between the panels are clearly visible, most of all it is noticeable in the areas near the headlight and the windshield on the driver's side.

This is a serious problem, as it can otherwise negatively affect the harmony and unity of a car, and denotes a clear lack of precision and care. Although a car doesn't need to be completely perfect, there should be a consistency between the panels that is even and close enough to give the appearance of being well built.

This is even more crucial for the Cybertruck due to its scruffy presentation and the many hiccups and delays it has faced. If the Cybertruck engineers want to meet Musk's precision standards, they had better get to work. Mass production of the car is expected to start at the end of this year.

As Tesla strives to fulfill Musk's vision and achieve the "Lego-like" panel lineup, the automotive community awaits future developments with anticipation. If Tesla can rise to this challenge and bring Musk's vision to life, it could set a new standard for precision in vehicle manufacturing.
