UEFA opens file on Mourinho for "abusive language" against the referee

UEFA reported this Friday that it has opened disciplinary proceedings against the two Europa League finalists, Sevilla and Roma, who met last Wednesday in Budapest with the Spanish team winning on penalties.

Specifically, Sevilla faces sanctions for invading the pitch, throwing objects, lighting flares and improper conduct by the team.

The charges against Roma are throwing objects, lighting flares, acts of damage, disorderly conduct, improper team conduct and insulting/abusive language against a member of the match refereeing body by the coach, José Mourinho.

UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee "will decide on the matter in due time," the body says.
