The Lakers survived their first game of the season without Lebron James this Sunday by beating the Portland Trail Blazers, while with their victory the Dallas Mavericks tied the Denver Nuggets in the standings, - who lost to the Rockets - at the head of the Western Conference.

The New York Knicks (5-4) added their third consecutive victory in a game in which they easily beat the Charlotte Hornets (3-6) in the four quarters (7, 3, 10 and 2).

Julius Randle was the most decisive player by adding 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the Knicks with a very distributed score and in which point guard Immanuel Quickley had a special impact coming off the bench, with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists.

The top scorer of the game was LaMelo Ball of the Hornets, with 32 points, in addition to 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
