Spain - England | Schedule and where to watch the match of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023

Spain is one step away from writing a new page in the history of its football in gold letters and winning its first FIFA Women's World Cup. The reds, who came to the event with many doubts about the figure of their coach Jorge Vilda, reached the final after an agonizing victory against Sweden, in a match in which they were superior.

The match broke television audience records with 1.9 million viewers on TVE and a 45.4% audience share, becoming the most watched match of the entire 2023 World Cup.

For their part, England used their experience to put an end to the dream of host Australia in a match in which the greater effectiveness of the Lionesses tipped the balance.

The final that the Spanish women's soccer team will play against England this Sunday will be the fourteenth final of Spanish soccer in its entire history. If Spain is proclaimed world champion, Spanish women's football would achieve a historic treble, becoming the only team to be world champion in sub-17, sub-20 and absolute.

As has been a constant throughout the tournament, Spain reaches the grand final with certain doubts in the starting eleven. Salma Paralluelo was the great protagonist of the semifinal and could recover a place in the starting team, while Alexia Putellas, who is not starring in her best World Cup, could be the great victim.

The final of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup between Spain and England will be played this Sunday, August 20, at Accor Stadium in Sydney, at 12:00 p.m. (peninsular time). The meeting can be seen on television on RTVE's La 1 and can also be followed live on the La Vanguardia website.
