His wife, Alba Silva, recalled that day upon leaving the hospital and the difficult almost month and a half that the family was going through, which he thanked for having been with her "one hundred percent: that is the greatest thing and we are very happy," he said.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper, trained in the Sevilla youth academy, in whose first team he was from the 2014-15 to 2018-19 season, was on Saturday, May 27, called up by the French team for the penultimate game of the French league , who was playing in Strasbourg, where PSG drew 1-1 and became champion of the tournament.

After that game, the goalkeeper moved to the village of El Rocío, where he suffered the accident at 8:30 in the morning, and was evacuated to the Seville hospital after being stabilized by the emergency services that were in charge of health coverage. of the almonteña pilgrimage.

During his hospitalization, he has suffered various ups and downs in his state of health, and sedation was even withdrawn on two occasions, until it was completely withdrawn on June 7, and since then he has been conscious and treated by the intensive care team at the Serious head injuries caused by kicks from the horse.

Alba Silva then thanked, through her Instagram profile, "all the "love" they had received and congratulated herself because "Sergio has many people praying for him and he is very strong", as he wrote a few weeks ago.

"I have no words to describe how I feel," said the soccer player's wife, who posted a photo of her wedding day with the Sevillian player, last June, with the text: "Don't leave me alone my love because I swear that I cannot, nor do I know how to live without you. Sergio Rico is expected to leave the hospital around 12:30 this Friday, to continue his recovery at home after almost three months admitted after the fatal accident.
