PSG give permission to Neymar to delay his return to France

Neymar Jr. was fined this week by the Brazilian authorities due to a breach of environmental laws in the construction of his mansion. For this reason, L'Equipe has reported that PSG have allowed the striker to delay his return to France for extra-sporting reasons, while he continues to recover from injury.

The French media indicates that in principle, the '10' of Brazil should appear in Paris on July 4, although the capital team delayed the start of training for the 10. Of course, it seems that Neymar will not arrive for that date and He could join at the same time as those who participated with their national teams, who PSG plans to arrive between the 17th and 22nd of this month.

Neymar, absent with PSG since February, underwent surgery on March 10 in Doha for a right ankle injury and continues to recover. For that reason, although he is expected as soon as possible in France, it would be to finish the process of improving him.

But to all this was added the scandal due to the sanction received in his country, for the construction of an artificial lake in a beach mansion. The star was fined a sum close to 3 million euros by the municipality of Mangaratiba, a city in the state of Rio de Janeiro, located in the southeast of Brazil.

Apparently, the construction of the lake did not have the necessary environmental license, and diverted several streams from the site. In addition, after the visit of the respective authorities, other anomalies were found in the place, such as the unauthorized collection of water from a river, prohibited excavations, an irregular movement of rocks and earth, and the use of sand from the beach near the home.

The works to create the lake were updated almost in real time by the company in charge, Genesis Ecosistemas, which constantly published the progress on its Instagram account. That was precisely what put the authorities on alert and triggered the visit to inspect the lake.

As reported by ESPN, the officers appeared at the Brazilian's property on June 22. Documents presented by the city council mention that the soccer player's father, Neymar da Silva Santos, verbally abused the authorities when they tried to stop the construction.

In addition, the minutes also state that the lake would have cost Neymar around 23,000 euros. For the moment, the striker could appeal the sanction, which will also now be passed to the police for a possible trial against him. For all this is that PSG has given permission to delay his return to the French capital.

It is expected that he will return in mid-July to put himself under Luis Enrique's orders, while rumors continue that the Brazilian star does not want to continue wearing the colors of the Parisian team, with whom he still has a contract until 2027.
