The MotoGP World Championship celebrates its second event in Portugal. Pecco Bagnaia won the first race of the championship, at the Losail track in Qatar. Brad Binder finished in second position, Jorge Martín was third, Marc Márquez, fourth, and rookie Pedro Acosta, ninth.

For their part, Yamaha riders Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins agreed when pointing out that the Portimao circuit can be a good setting to improve their performance. "Qatar was not an easy start, but now we know what we have to work on because Portimao is very different from Lusail, so it will be interesting to see how the bike behaves and how the tires wear out," highlighted the Frenchman.

"It's a shame that in the last six laps we paid the price of pushing too hard to recover positions, because our tires were finished, but I'm happy because we were running at a similar pace to the other Yamaha, which means we are at the same level and that we can work together to improve in the same way", the Spanish pilot.
