The one who was a player and icon of FC Barcelona in the 60s of the 20th century, Josep Maria Fusté, has died this Thursday at the age of 82, according to what the Barca club has advanced through its social networks. Born in Linyola (Lleida), he was an elegant midfielder who played between 1962 and 1972, making 406 appearances in which he scored 117 goals.
After his retirement, he was linked to the club all his life, being president of the Players Association between 1976 and 1989. With Barça he won three Generalissimo Cups (1962-63, 1967-68 and 1970-71), a Cup of Fairs (1965-66) and a Fairs Super Cup (1971). "Barcelona fans will never forget you. Rest in peace", they lamented from the club.
