Henry asks for Messi's return to Barça and criticizes the whistles of the PSG fans

Thierry Henry, French soccer legend, criticized the attitude of the PSG fans towards Messi, whistled again, and called for the Argentine's return to Barça in the run-up to the match in the Parc des Princes between the Parisian team and Olympique de Lyon, winner of the match with a solitary goal from Barcola in the second half (0-1).

"Personally, I would like it. It is a wish to see him end his career at Barça, in Europe. In fact, I don't know what he is going to do because of the way he left the club after all he did. I would like him to finish his career at Barça. Now, I'm not saying that he has to leave or that he's going to leave. There are people above who are there to manage this," the former striker, now a commentator for Amazon Prime, explained on the pitch at the Paris stadium.

The former soccer player, above all an icon of Arsenal, where he played a large part of his career, also donned the Barça shirt between 2007 and 2010, a stage in which he enjoyed alongside Messi in the Barça forward. Henry was part of the best period in the history of the Catalan club, led by Pep Guardiola, and was especially key in the season of the first treble, 2008-09.

Henry has praised Messi on various occasions, saying that he is "not human" because of his innate ability with the ball. The Frenchman regrets the departure of his ex-partner from the culé entity, especially how it happened, and he does not understand the reproaches of the PSG fans, who have already whistled at Rosario twice, in the previews of the matches against Rennes and the Lyon Olympics.

"I'm happy, as I said, when he managed to win the French championship. Now, whistling doesn't help. They talk about the best player in the world right now in terms of titles (...) In any case, there are still 13 goals and 13 assists in the League, plus another four goals and four assists in the Champions League", he defended Messi against criticism.

Henry argued that "for the love of football and for what he has done for that club", in reference to Barça, he should close a falsely settled chapter for Barcelona in another way: "He did not leave as he should, not as he should have left. That It's something that bothers me a bit and him too. I think also because of how he cried when he left during the press conference." The Frenchman has no doubt that at "some moment his smile will return, normally", perhaps at Barça.
