Espanyol overcomes the barrier of 30,000 members in the Second Division

Espanyol is in luck and not only for its leadership in the Hypermotion League, reinforced after the victory against Valladolid last weekend, but also for the fantastic support that its fans are giving it, once again.

Yesterday the club made official the numbers of members and subscribers for the current season, which even exceed last year's figures. Thus, Espanyol, a First in Second team, will have 30,200 members and 25,400 subscribers. It must be taken into account that last year, for example, Espanyol had 27,311 members and 21,681 subscribers.

Luis García's team has been up to the task at the beginning of the season, in which they have only lost two games, and this has motivated many parrots to want to join the cause of recovering the category this year. In the most difficult times, the fans once again show their loyalty.

One of the club's big bets this season has been to promote children's subscriptions. In this sense, 1,852 parrots renewed their subscription and 1,404 registrations have been registered for a total of 3,256 children's subscribers, a historic figure that confirms that the blue and white quarry continues to grow. This has meant that the average age in the current season is 37 years old, a figure that reflects a significant rejuvenation in our social mass.

The final data of the campaign shows other important aspects that denote a change in the habits and trends of our members and subscribers. The number of residents has increased considerably compared to the 22-23 campaign -more than 1,000-. However, it is in the digital aspect where progress is beginning to be noticed. Currently there are more than 8,000 digital cards in the club's official app and it should be noted that a significant percentage of renewals have been done via the app.

This is the best mark for the blue and white club since the 2011-12 season, thus endorsing the plan adopted by the board to reduce prices to maintain connection with its fans, since it launched a campaign that included a reduction in the cost of season tickets in 50% to pursue loyalty.

In sports, Omar El Hilali suffers a break in the fifth metatarsal of his left foot, as reported this Tuesday by the blue and white club in a statement. The footballer was injured during the last match against Valladolid, which ended with a Periquita victory (2-0). The doctors of the Catalan entity analyzed the tests and determined that the player will not undergo surgery.

Omar El Hilali will thus undergo conservative treatment, although the period of absence is not stipulated. Espanyol limited itself to clarifying that it will be the player's evolution that will determine his availability for the following commitments.
