The Murcian tennis player defeated the Italian Matteo Berrettini (3-6, 6-3, 6-3 and 6-3) and qualified for the quarterfinals for the first time in his early career. On his way to the title, he will face the Danish Holger Rune, who defeated the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov 3-6, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (4) and 6-3.
