The Aemet activates warnings for persistent fog in all these provinces

January says goodbye under the influence of the anticyclone, which will extend the spring weather of the last week by one more day. Most of the territory will continue to be under the influence of high pressure, with slightly cloudy skies or some intervals of clouds in the northwest half, morning fogs and temperatures that will continue to be high for the season, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency ( Aemet).

This Wednesday, abundant low morning cloudiness is expected in large areas of the Mediterranean slope, both plateaus, Galicia, Cantabrian coasts, the Balearic Islands, Alborán and areas of western Andalusia, which in general will tend to leave slightly cloudy skies.

Intervals of low clouds will also persist around the Strait, where some drizzle will occur. Nor is it ruled out north of Cabo de la Nao (Alicante).

The Aemet has activated the yellow warning due to the risk of "persistent" fog in all the provinces of Castilla y León. They will occur especially during the week and could make visibility at a hundred meters difficult. To a lesser extent, they could occur at the end of the day.

The fogs will be the highlight of a Wednesday in which maximum temperatures will not experience major changes. Increases are expected in inland areas of the eastern peninsula, western Galicia and upper Ebro; and decreases in the eastern Canary Islands and areas of the northern plateau and depressions in the northeast, where fog is more persistent.

Especially high will be the maximums in Bilbao (21), Granada (20), Huelva (20), Las Palmas (25), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (26), Pontevedra (20) or Seville (21).

Regarding the minimums, a decrease is expected in a good part of the east and northeast of the peninsula, the Balearic Islands and western Galicia, without major changes in the rest. Despite the drop, temperatures will continue to be high in most of the country, with frost only in the high altitudes of the Pyrenees.
