The PSC of Badalona reports a lack of staff in the Sant Roc Library

The president of the municipal group of the PSC, Fernando Carrera, has held a meeting with the workers of the Sant Roc Library to learn first-hand about the lack of personnel that the cultural facility is suffering. The Sant Roc Library has explained that they are at their limit, because there is a lack of librarians. In fact, the equipment has been on the verge of closing for more than a day.

For its part, the municipal government details that in the Sant Roc library the lack of staff is not new, but dates back to 2019, during the short-lived mandate of the socialist Àlex Pastor, when the government let a janitor leave. The current executive affirms that he is working to increase staff as much as possible and affirms that the personnel situation has improved because a secondment was made to fill the janitor position.

For Fernando Carrera, it is necessary to urgently solve this labor issue, because one day the Library will have to close because it does not have staff. On the other hand, in the meeting held between the president of the municipal group of the PSC and the librarians, he put the library plan on the table. "Now in Sant Roc residents from La Salut are welcomed because they do not have any library, and also schools in this neighborhood, which causes the Sant Roc Library to become too small." Carrera has asked the municipal government to address this Badalona library plan.
