The PSC of Badalona asks to delay the application of the municipal waste rate

The president of the municipal group of the PSC in Badalona (Barcelonès Nord), Fernando Carrera, presented two allegations to the proposed rate for providing the municipal waste management service to delay the planned increase.

The allegations refer to the date of implementation of the fee, which is estimated at around 108 euros per family unit. The law states that there is time until 2025 to apply it "but the PP government has moved ahead," the socialists point out, and will make all citizens pay this tax next year.

The PSC alleges that the year 2024 could be left behind and the rate applied to the following year. Both allegations have been presented within the period established by law.

The president of the PSC municipal group, Fernando Carrera, considers that the 108 euros that Badalona families could save are a small help in the face of the escalation of price increases for all services. "We hope that the government rectifies and applies this rate in 2025" he says.
